Hi Ben Davis Little League families,

We know everyone is eager to play the 2026 season and back on the field. Unfortunately, the continued rain and resulting muddy field conditions have made it unsafe and unplayable for games at this time.

Our priority is always the safety of our players, coaches, and families, as well as protecting the field from damage that could create longer delays later in the season. Even when rain has stopped, fields often need additional time to properly drain and dry before they can safely be used.

We understand cancellations and delays are frustrating, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these challenging weather conditions. As soon as fields are safe and playable, we will communicate updated schedules and game information.

Thank you for your continued support of Ben Davis Little League and for helping us put player safety first.

Due to the rain that we’ve gotten this past hour, we are now going to be canceling the rest of the games due to field conditions and will be rescheduling.

⚾ BDLL Community Update ⚾

We want to take a moment to address a few important items to ensure we continue providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all of our players and families.

•First, our field maintenance team recently discovered that one of our pitching rubbers had been dug out and damaged. This is extremely disappointing. Our fields are maintained by dedicated volunteers who take great pride in creating a quality experience for our kids. Damaging league property is unacceptable.

If you see something, please say something. Protecting our facilities is a shared responsibility.

•Secondly, we want to touch on weather-related delays and cancellations. We understand how frustrating last-minute changes can be. Please know that we are always monitoring conditions closely and do our best to make decisions as early as possible. However, we also try not to rush cancellations, as doing so impacts scheduling and field availability moving forward. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to balance safety and scheduling.

•Lastly, a quick reminder that alcohol and any prohibited substances are not permitted on BDLL property. We ask that all visitors help us keep our environment family-friendly and appropriate for our players at all times.

We take pride in our league, and we know our community does too. Let’s continue to work together to create a positive experience for everyone involved.

Due to weather, we will be starting our Opening Day on a delayed schedule. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as we work to make the day great for our players! 💜

🎉 Opening Day Parade will now begin at 10:30 AM
Teams are still encouraged to decorate banners and bring candy or fun parade items!

We will NOT be taking pictures on Opening Day. Picture Day information will be shared at a later time.

After the ceremony, we’ll jump right into a full day of games ⚾🥎
