Hello from Strode’s Furniture,

I hope everyone is staying healthy. We are all going through some trying times with the COVID-19 virus. It seems very strange to have to close the store for the first time in 43 years. Because of the Governors mandate to close nonessential businesses, we felt it was important for us to abide by this request to protect our employees and customers.

Also I want to give a special thanks to all the first responder’s and medical personnel that are putting other people’s needs before their own. We have many customers and family members that are on the front lines every day helping to battle the COVID-19 virus. God bless them and keep their families safe and healthy.

In the furniture industry, all production has basically come to a halt, including our Amish partners. Some production is slowly starting back up which is a positive sign for everyone.
We learned today that the Governor has approved the ability for Retailers to take orders over the phone and online and the ability to deliver to our customers, as of May 1st.

We will continue practicing social distancing and safe contact practices. I know it’s hard to do but, we’ve been doing it now for about 4 weeks. We miss our kids and 14 grandkids that we haven’t been able to hug for the past weeks. Even my wife is giving me a elbow bump instead of a good night kiss. I guess the only good thing is I‘ve been able to get a lot done on the honey do list!
