Drawer front day: sand, prime, sand, prime…..paint. These covington-style drawer fronts will be installed in a laundry room cabinet. Finished in Benjamin Moore’s Ultra Spec Scuff-X for durability and easy cleaning. 👊🏼

Shiplap accent wall progression. Can’t beat Nickel gap for a consistent look between panels. Rather than just cap the ends with a simple corner guard, I ripped the outside tongue off a piece, trimmed the inside to match the 3/16” gap throughout, and installed vertically. Jumbo TV and floating shelves next 👍🏼

My go to finish - Rubio Monocoat. I honestly can’t think of a more durable and easy to apply finish. It doesn’t “layer up” and get thick. It smells pretty good, too. 🤪

It was almost impossible to get a good shot of the finished piece here. Bench was finished (all six sides) in Oil Plus 2C Natural, everything else took two coats of Ultra Spec Scuff-X. It definitely fits the room perfectly. The kids couldn’t wait to claim their spots and load it up. That’s a win!
