(Most of you know amber usually does the instagram posts, but these are Michael’s words ❤️)
Kindness—it’s not a thing you can buy, just like all the other corny words—love, compassion. But like those words, it has to come from a natural source, a spring inside of yourself. It’s either flowing or it’s dammed up by whatever logs your life has sunk there. I have felt kindness and I have to say, it’s up there with any other act on the board. It is an experience that doesn’t leave you, especially in the world we live in now.
Humanity feels further away these days and community is something that has become insulated instead of grown, with sides and factions and opinions that have no room for space or breath. Kindness is organic and you can see it growing out of a person, same as branches on a tree. The thing about it is, you know when it’s there just as well as when it’s not.
I’m not attaching a photo with these words. No shot of an older person holding the hand of a child or one hand giving another flowers, instead, I’m leaving it blank. See if you can bring to mind the person or people who fit the description and do something to let them know that they are walking the walk.
