At the beginning of fall, we were called upon to relocate this clock to another room and protect it from dust and debris as they had a remodeling project underway. The clock was completely covered, wrapped and protected. This weekend we were able to travel back to the customers house, locate the clock back to its original spot and set it up.

The next restoration we have been entrusted to restore back to working order. Made by Gawen Brown of Boston,Ma.

Gawen Brown (1720-1801) moved to Boston from Northumbria in England and established himself as one of the finest clockmakers in the colonies. In Boston his clocks can still be found ticking in the Old State House and in the tower of the Old South Meeting House.

Observe the exquisite craftsmanship and beauty of the hands! Absolutely beautiful.

With the use of a UV light, we were able to determine the maker of this beautiful clock. We then recommended the customer send the dial to "The Dial House" Dialhouse.net to have the dial restored. You can see the results below. All in all the cost was around $270 for the dial paint work. Absolutely beautiful work!

Coming soon! Our next project will be a full restoration on the clock movement within the chapel of the First Unitarian Universalist Church in Burlington, VT. Stay tuned as we will update with photos once we begin work. The clock is an E. Howard round top with 3 dials.

Thursday, we had the pleasure of traveling to Newtonville, Ma to install the clock movement we restored. From there we traveled to Holliston,Ma to pickup an old wood works clock Ca.1820 or so. We then delivered that clock to the Grand Lodge Of Freemasons in Massachusetts, setup in the library. Many miles traveled. 1 clock repaired, 1 transported safely to its destination.
