My son and I had a nice w’working business in MA for several years- The Joys of Wood. I had purchased some “shorts” from a hardwood lumber company (what they defined as less than 10’ tall.) We had Ziricote, every Rosewood except Brazilian, odd things like 1/4-sawn Lacewood, Ebony (both types), tons but not all lumber- some small Snakewood, Pink Ivory, etc. We almost NEVER used the super-rare exotics, mostly domestic hardwoods. We moved to Summerville @ 4 years ago, but sold the most wide gorgeous wood ALL to luthiers. They’d never seen 10-12” wide Ziricote with NO sapwood. We still have a small amount of very cool things such as Kingwood a full 4” x 2” wide about 7’ tall and about 90 pounds, some nice wide West Coast Walnut, a few more oddities, all at least 25-30 years old. I wanted to pack it all up and offer it to you at a fair price, but my son insisted I approach you this way 1st. If you are at all interested, perhaps you could either come by here and scope it out, or I would bring it by if you wished. I prefer to sell it all, as we sold our woodworking machinery in MA and now just have some fine hand tools, chisels, full set of carving tools for ourselves. Also have 2 nice old Jorgensen vises that would mount to a large workbench. Those we’d like to sell though. If you’re at all interested I’m retired and almost always here. Now my hobby is Fruit Trees, now that we’re in zone 8b!
Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you-
