Our Story
Our parents gave us the right foundation when they opened 'El Tapanco'. Now at Rustic Furniture 55, we want to honor and put to practice what they thought us . Family it's at the core of our values,and that is why we handcraft every rustic furniture piece at our store in all different rustic furniture styles such as Spanish, Hacienda, Mexican, Farm,etc. Always highlighting the uniqueness of the wood in every piece. Our family is committed to using high quality materials that ensure your family can enjoy your rustic furniture purchase for decades to come. Our rustic furniture have decorated the homes of Houston sport celebrities,reputable restaurants in the Houston area such as Ninfa's navigation, La Tapatia,Mamacita's and more... We also had the privilege to work with the Houston Opera to build some of their stage furniture for their play Carmen.We incorporate antique Hacienda doors into our rustic furniture designs, giving every piece an old look with a twist of the modern designs bringing up to life eclectic fun pieces that will enhance your home & business. Our humble beginnings started with our parents work by selling their Home decor through different Houston Festivals and parking lots; eventually that lead to have a clientele that inquired for rustic furniture, and that was the start of everything. Our parents open El Tapanco back in 2006, and the tradition continues with Rustic Furniture 55. We wanted to make the business our own by giving it a name that it was easy to remember and pronounce. You can still see mom & dad at the store from time to time helping us in this business venture.
