More often than not, simplicity is the best design philosophy. Such is the case with this matched coffee and end table set. The design features simple lines and subtle details that draw the eye to the beauty of the natural wood.

The tables are made from 2 sets of bookmatched Texas pecan wood slabs from our friends at Berdoll Sawmill, located in Cedar Creek, Texas.

Both tables feature double waterfall ends, ensuring a continuous grain pattern across the entire length of the pieces. A heavy bevel applied to the bottom edges lightens the visual appearance of the pieces without adding a sense of fragility. UHMW plastic runners were added to the legs to allow the tables to be easily reconfigured with minimal effort.

The tables are complemented with our signature Moai coasters. This set of coasters carries on the design of the tables by utilizing bookmatched pecan with walnut breadboard ends. The Moai “statue” is made from solid walnut and is internally counterbalanced for stability.

In September 2017, Hurricane Harvey inundated the Houston metro area with more than 50 inches of rain over a 4 day period. Many communities were completely wiped out in the floods that followed. Our friends, Belinda and Scott, lost virtually all of their possessions when their house sustained 4 feet of water for 11 days.

Our mission was to save Belinda and Scott’s heirloom dining table. Although our initial efforts to simply refinish the table ended in failure, in the end we agreed on a plan to redesign and completely remanufacture the table, saving as much of the original reclaimed Australian timber as possible.

We are certain that Belinda, Scott and the girls get many years of enjoyment from their old/new table.

This desk was a special request from our most demanding customer - a six year old who thinks she's twelve. The writing surface is made from hard maple with the casework fashioned from maple plywood. The drawer box features a mitered box design and all drawers feature soft-closing hardware. The door fronts and support feet are made from okoume - one of our favorite accent woods. This desk is manufactured to stand the test of time and will be a family heirloom for years to come.

Every coffee table needs an eye catching set of drink coasters. This signature coaster design is the perfect match for our coffee table offerings. We incorporate the woods and design elements from the coffee table in a complementary each other. The sample coasters feature okoume wood strips with walnut accents. We designed and constructed this waterfall edge coffee table as the focal point of a living room redecoration. The table is made from American black walnut strips, arranged to provide the best visual appeal. The cantilevered end of the table is supported by a box frame inset in the table top, made from rarely imported okoume - a hardwood native to equatorial west Africa.
