This was a wild one. A cedar lined chest made by Lane. The original finish was done around the time that spray-stains and tinted lacquers were becoming more commercial, giving cheaper species of lumber a new way to be appreciated. Wasn't sure how it would turn out, but this customer was super happy! She said it looked like she remembered it years ago.

Amazing what a faux finish and some new hardware can do to a set.

I have been so excited to share my latest project with everyone. This was likely my biggest order to date, at 33 tables, all refinished in just 3-1/2 weeks for a local restaurant in Houston. Years of wear and tear? Or a poorly refinished coating that didnt last? This is what it looks like when you dont prep the surface correctly, and use inferior products. Thankfully for me, that junk came right off so that it could be done right 👌

But this was no problem for Kirk Furniture and Cabinetry Restoration to refinish and restore the entire set to its former glory.

Here's another kitchen for ya! This was done a little out of the normal order of operations, as you can see the client still has some drywall/tile work to be done, but we were able to get them new drawer boxes, new doors, new drawer fronts, and new hardware along with the refinish!.
