Obituary:
Gerald Wayne Wheeler, age 73 of Hot Springs, AR, was peacefully welcomed into his eternal home on Monday, July 4th, 2022. Surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born to Joesph Thomas and Iris Wheeler in Hot Springs, AR on April 24, 1949. He was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and a fierce leader and protector of his family.
Gerald was best known for his love of family, his strong work ethic, infinite wisdom and ornery personality.
He brought joy and laughter to any room he entered. He was loved by many and respected by all.
One of his greatest accomplishments was founding the Cabinet Door Shop in Hot Springs in 1986.
When asked about his success in life, he always gave the glory to God. He was proud of his opportunity and calling to love, help, and share the gospel with those around him.
He will be remembered for the many lives he touched.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Bobbie Sue, of Hot Springs; his three beloved daughters, Robin (Noel) Uzick of Hot Springs, Cyndi (Neil) Fisher of Hot Springs, Cathy (Jason) Puckett of Hot Springs;
He is predeceased by 2 grandchildren Tyler and Andrew Puckett.
Surviving grandchildren: CJ (Jordan) Uzick of Little Rock, Neila (Richard) Burke of Hot Springs, Beau Uzick of Hot Springs, Marcus (Chandler) Fisher of Benton, Cameron Puckett of Hot Springs, and Brannon (Grace Herr) Puckett of Lakeside, Montana; and his great-granddaughter, Amelia Burke. And baby boy Uzick on the way.
Pallbearers include: Noel Uzick, Neil Fisher, Jason Puckett, CJ Uzick, Beau Uzick, Marcus Fisher, Neila Burke, Cameron Puckett, Brannon Puckett, in memory with Tyler and Andrew Puckett.
Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Steadman and Staff, Richard Dunn, Glen Coffman, Bruce Hood, Brian Sligh, Ricky Batts, and Windel Magar.
