December 10. Day of destruction. About 8:38PM the LilyPad was destroyed by a tornado that ripped through our little slice of heaven here at Reelfoot Lake. I apologize I have not posted on here until now, but my phone has been out of commission too and I just got a new one last night.
Most of our regular guests who have made The LilyPad a place to stay while you visit Reelfoot area are aware of the devastation our neighborhood has endured. We want to say thank you for choosing us all these years and thank you for becoming our friends, some of you like family. Many of you have been coming to the LilyPad since we built it and we have a really true friendship.
It’s going to be a long journey this year trying to rebuild our home, and that must be our priority right now.
If you have planned to stay at The LilyPad this year, please feel free to contact me by message and I will try my best to recommend a place for you to stay that will keep your vacation time from being disrupted.
When you come to Reelfoot, be sure to drive by and check out progress in our community as we all work together to build our lives back, New in 2022. God Bless.

We hope that you are all blessed with Good Health and Prosperity in 2021!

The LilyPad hosts a number of scheduled Craft Camps throughout the year for Ladies as well as Custom Craft Camps for both Ladies, Men & Children. Some of those camps feature local craft artist/ instructors and Reelfoot Guides. We have a variety of Camps you can attend or plan your own hobby vacation camp! Lodging and Catered Meals included. Space is limited and fill up fast, but there are waiting lists you can be place on.
See our list below for 2021 scheduled Dates. If you are interested in a custom camp, call to see what dates are open and let us set you up with your preferred guides and instructors!

June 12-13: 24 HR Fishing Activities on Reelfoot Lake & Stain Glass Tutorial for a Fish Sun Catcher.
July 16-18 & July 23-25 Christmas in July-
All Things Frosty featuring Window Art, Woodworking, Food Crafts, Creative Arts, Murder Mystery
August 7-8 24 hour Applique

Oct 16-17 Women Exploring Wonder in Nature Lake Activities include Pelican Fest
Nov 11-14 & Nov 18-21 'O Christmas Tree themed Christmas Craft Camp features Christmas Tree Rag Quilt, Pottery by Spicer Pottery, Woodworking, Creative Arts and a Christmas Luncheon at local Venues.

Custom Camps can be created with your group or family if none of these dates work for you or those camps are full.

I will be taking down all old 2019 Girlfriend Camp information boards over the next few days. I will post a new 2020 Camp Date Board with the available crafts and instructors and the dates for Girlfriends. If you would like to be added to that board for dates and info on the 2020 Camps, please post here. New Camp dates will post Jan 1st. Yes, you may share this post with your friends. Girlfriend's Branson Quilt Retreat will be an open camp this year and will fill up fast. Here's to Quilting and Crafting in 2020!

We are about to get real busy around The LilyPad gearing up for 3 upcoming Christmas Craft Camps. The first camp is only 23 days away! That means pulling out the Christmas decor and setting up crafting stations for all you crafty Girlfriends out there! All crafts created at camp are very gift worthy and you have a blast with all the ladies during your 3 day stay! Camp includes; Meals, Lodging in the LilyPad for 3 nights, all craft supplies, instructors, workshop and patterns. This Year's theme is "A Taste of Home Christmas". Taking us back to our childhood, what was the "taste" of your childhood home decor, table settings...Christmas Memories? With a Retro setting in mind our crafts this year will include:
Quilt workshop:The Five & Dime Quilt
Pottery: Glaze an Ornament Keepsake safe (houses your favorite ornament)
Creative Arts: Make Handmade Fabric Ornament (to fit inside Pottery piece)
Woodcrafting: Grandmother's Pie Shadowbox
Food Craft: Food Show and meal presented by local cooks.
If interested in joining The Girlfriend Crafters you may inquire about limited openings for the following camps:
Nov 7-10, Nov 14-17 & Nov 21-24
Camp fee 285.00. Deposits required for craft supplies and instructors. Below are examples of patterns and crafts.

Looky looky bluegill fishermen ( and ladies) what The LilyPad guests found in the lilypads on Reelfoot yesterday! Didn't get here til after lunch and calling for rain, they took a chance the rain would hold off...it did and they had a blast pulling in over 120 big bluegill!

It might still be duck season at The LilyPad, but it's also time to schedule those craft retreats and camps! If you love to craft, quilt, or are an outdoor enthusiast, then you might want to ask about a custom retreat for your group at The LilyPad, or join us and our local instructors for some of our scheduled retreats! Below is a list of dates for our scheduled retreats. They fill up fast and often have waiting lists so don't hesitate to get on the camp list!
If these dates don't work for you, or a camp is full, then book your own group with a custom retreat with specific activities just for you!
Cost will vary according to your nights stay, crafts, meal certificates and other activities, but all camps are very reasonable! Make it fit your budget!
GIRLFRIEND CRAFT CAMPS 2019
3 Night Lodging, Catered Meals, Patterns, Supplies and Instruction included in these retreats.

March 21-24. Quilt Retreat. Beginner Friendly. Using Precut Fabrics Approx. Quilt top size: 75 x 85. You will need a sewing machine, Rotary cutter and Mats, and sewing accessories.

May 2-5 WE WIN (Women Exploring Wonders In Nature) Outdoor Enthusiast love this retreat.
Canoe Float/fishing trip, Archery Range at Refuge, Outdoor Crafts, Food Crafts, and Campfire activities. In case of inclement weather, outdoor activities will be substituted for workshop activities.

September 12-15 Fall Retreat features a Rag Quilt Workshop, Fall Food crafting, Refuge Activities.

November 7-10 Christmas Retreat. A festive atmosphere, everyone enjoys making crafts worthy of gift giving family and friends. We have a variety of crafts during Christmas which includes Pottery, Woodworking, Canvas Painting, Food crafting and more. We also tour the Open House sales in the local retail shops and have a Christmas luncheon for a little break from crafting at one of the local Restaurants. One of the All time favorite Retreats.

**July 17-30 We will host our Christmas in July Retreat on the Road this Year in Branson Missouri. Together with our friends from Quilt and Quilt Fabric Shop, we will piece a 70" x 70" Carpenters Star Quilt Top. Plus as a bonus, we will have 2 make and take projects with a Christmas in July theme. Lodging at the Raddisson, 3 breakfast, Sewing Room and all craft supplies are included in Retreat Fees. Any show tickets you might want, lunches and dinners are extra cost. There are only a few rooms left for this retreat, you are encouraged to contact me very soon for more info and to block your room if you want to go on this retreat!

Other 1-2 day Workshops will be posted as they become available.

Duck Hunters staying at The LilyPad have been having some good fun out there on the lake with Jeff the last few days! I must remember to try to catch them for a picture tomorrow! Nothing makes me smile more than seeing my guests having a successful trip out on the lake!
