Today we remember and honor those who gave everything for our freedom. Because of them, we get to enjoy the simple things—sunshine, fresh air, and time spent with the ones (and dogs) we love most.

Grateful for the moments, the memories, and the ability to live this life—adventure and all. ❤️💙

Winston understood the assignment: bring the fluff, bring the chaos, learn a few things along the way.

This week of puppy board & train is all about channeling those classic doodle vibes—big curiosity, zero brakes, and a whole lot of personality—into something a little more thoughtful. We’re working on engagement, settling, and learning that not every exciting moment needs a full send.

He’s already starting to slow things down, check in, and make better choices… while still keeping that happy, wiggly Winston energy we love.

Sometimes we overcomplicate training… when really, some of the best reps happen right outside your front door.

That moment before stepping off the curb.
Waiting at the door instead of rushing out.
Choosing to check in instead of locking onto every sound, smell, or passing distraction.

Real life is where it clicks. Not a perfect, quiet training room—but the sidewalk, the driveway, the everyday in-between moments.

Slow it down. Set the expectation. Follow through.

Building a well-run “pack” isn’t something that just happens—it comes from clear boundaries and consistent expectations that everyone in the family follows through on. You can have different relationships with your dog, different levels of affection, even different roles—but the structure has to stay the same.

That balance between love and leadership is what creates a calm, respectful, and truly harmonious home. 💙🐶

No matter what goals you have for your dog—or how many commands are on your daily checklist—it’s important to remember… sometimes dogs just get to be dogs. 🐾

That doesn’t mean structure disappears or expectations go out the window. It means we allow space for curiosity, for imperfect moments, and yes—even for mistakes. Because those moments are where the real learning happens.

Training isn’t about creating a perfect robot. It’s about building a dog who understands the difference between right and wrong, and has been given the opportunity to figure that out with clear guidance along the way.

Give them the chance to learn. Give them the chance to think. And every once in a while… let them just be a dog. 🤍
