Now available! For anyone looking for a new addition to their home, here is a reclaimed and restored wooden coffee table with black metal legs that I just finished. It is both rustic and modern to fit with a variety of styles.

I have enough stock of the same material for one or two more tables of different sizes that I will be completing soon, but each table will be unique, so if you are interested in purchasing this one before it’s gone, please let me know. The dimensions are 52" x 21¾" x 17¾", and the price is $500.

Unfortunately, due to the size, shipping isn’t practical, but if you are within a few hours of Birmingham, delivery, pick-up, and meeting are all possible. I will be posting on public sites soon, but I wanted to offer it here before doing so. Thanks, Friends!

Hello Friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It’s been a great few months in the shop since my last post with several unique projects, and I’m excited to share with you three recent ones.

First of all, I had some beautiful Acacia wood left over from the stools I built earlier this year, and I was able to use it in a cutting board with a Red Grandis border.

Next, since I have fallen in love with Canarywood, I wanted to feature it on another coaster set. Fortunately, an order came in, and I was able to use it with Walnut and Maple for a really nice combination.

Lastly, I had the amazing opportunity to build something that I was truly honored to do for a dear friend – a burial flag display case. It was a true blessing to be trusted to build something that would display and protect the flag the family received, and it’s hard to say just how meaningful it was to see this project come together. While several types of wood such as Walnut, Oak, or Sapele would have worked equally well, I especially love their decision to use Cherry for the wood due to the amazingly beautiful and naturally warm tone it has.

Of the many types of projects I have been asked to build, this was perhaps the most rewarding because of how personal it was for the family. Display cases like this can be bought from many sources, of course, but being able to customize it and give it personal touches truly makes a difference in the end.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and to hear from you about any projects you may be interested in!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!!! When we started ECW a few years ago, I had no idea what to expect, but it's been such a blessing to be able to build so many meaningful projects. I'm truly thankful for every opportunity, and I'm looking forward to what the future holds.

I'll be posting about some recent projects soon, but for today, I just wanted to thank you all for your support, and I hope you have a wonderful day with your family and friends!

Hello friends! Apparently, January 1st came and went, I blinked, and now it’s summer! The first few months of the year were a bit of a blur as I stayed busy with several different projects, including two that were both large in scope and inventory.

The first was a shelving project for a high school athletic locker room, and the second was 36 stools built from beautiful Acacia wood for which I partnered with a friend and fellow woodworker for a local shooting range. Both projects offered their challenges, but as always, the process and end results were very satisfying, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work on them. Please enjoy a few pictures from both!

Now, it’s on to more summer projects, including planters, cutting boards, coaster sets, and perhaps even a rocking chair! I hope life is wonderful with you, and as always, if you see anything you like or are in search of any customized project, just let us know!

Happy New Year, friends! I cannot believe that we are now in 2025, and I hope that amazing things are in store for you this year! I’ve been looking at some pictures from all my projects from 2024, and I wanted to do a short year-in-review post.

I’ve been fortunate to be able to work on several different kinds of projects since we officially began ECW back in 2021, and 2024 was no different. The year began with soap dishes and cutting boards and one of my absolute favorite builds-to-date, a Mid-Century Modern coffee table built from Sapele. The summer and early fall were filled with the official inventory winner of the year, coaster sets!

Following that, I was thrilled to have a featured section in Magnolia June's Antiques & Mercantile during its 2024 Holiday Pop-Up in Rogersville, where I was able to display a variety of builds from more soap dishes to cutting and charcuterie boards, candleholders, and display stands. I’m excited to say that I will also have additional items available there throughout the year!

Finally, 2024 ended with some Christmas gifts in the form of flight boards that could also be used as candleholders. Throw in a few more smaller projects throughout the year, and it was filled with lots of sawdust, a few minor cuts here and there, and a greater joy for the art of woodworking.

Please enjoy the pictures, and as always, if you see anything from here or previous posts that you would like to customize for yourself or as a gift for someone else, just let me know! Wishing you all the very best in 2025!!!

Hello Friends and Happy Thanksgiving! For those of you in Rogersville this week, I'd love to invite you to Magnolia June's Antiques & Mercantile this Friday for the opening of the Holiday Pop-Up that will run from Nov. 29th through December 31st. I am so excited to say that I will have a featured section displayed in the store and will be on site from 4:00-6:00 on the opening day.

Magnolia June's is very special to our family as it is a tribute to my grandmother, Wanda June Vaughan, and her vision for this amazing store that is filled with handpicked antiques and collectibles ... I am beyond honored to be a small part of it!

My stock will be limited, but there will be several custom items available including coaster sets, soap dishes, candle holders, and a variety of cutting boards. I truly hope to see you there and that you will be able to enjoy all the special and unique items that will be available throughout the store. As always, wishing you my very best and the happiest of starts to the holiday season!

Hello Friends! Well, since I’ve been on such a coaster set kick, I figured, why not one more?!? 😊This time, however, I wanted to make use of some beautiful Canarywood that I had left over from a previous cutting board build and combine it with Walnut and Maple, and I love the combination! I also wanted to include a different kind of holder for the coasters, so I looked for some different ideas and came across this open box design that I really enjoy. The price is $80, and this is the only one like this I have, so if you are interested in it, please let me know - Have a great week!

UPDATE *** The coaster sets have all been sold, so these are no longer available. However, I will be making more sets from Cherry and Walnut as well as Red Grandis, Sapele, and Canarywood soon, so if you would like to reserve one, please let me know. The cutting boards are still available! Thank you, friends!

Hello Friends! I’m excited to offer a few extra items that I currently have in stock for immediate purchase. If you would like one of these for yourself or to get an early start on Christmas presents, these coaster sets and cutting boards are handmade for lasting quality.

I have three coaster sets available, and each one features a 4-post base along with 4 coasters. They are built from Cherry and Peruvian Walnut and finished in Rubio Monocoat Pure. The price per set is $75 with shipping included.

I also have two cutting boards available. The first is built from Red Grandis, Canarywood, and a small accent of Purpleheart. The second features Walnut, Hard Maple, Red Grandis, and Cherry. The cost per board is $115, and that also includes shipping.

Payment options include Venmo and FB Meta Pay. Please contact me here on FB messenger or via email at [email protected] if you are interested or have any questions. If local, the cost will be adjusted to eliminate shipping costs.

Please hurry while supplies last, but of course, I will be making more soon and as always, both of these items as well as any others in our portfolio can be custom ordered. Thank you and have a great rest of your week!

Hello Friends! I hope you have had a wonderful summer! I can’t believe that it is nearly over, and that school begins this week, but that means it’s time to get back in the shop and make some sawdust. Woo-hoo!!! 😁

After completing the Mid-Century Coffee Table with a matching coaster set earlier this year, I was inspired to try different kinds of coaster sets. I researched a bit and found some styles that I liked, and I’m excited to share with you the result of a few of them.

I love working on smaller projects like this with all the details involved, and like the cutting boards and soap dishes I’ve built in the past, the options really are limitless. For the sets featured here, I decided to build the first with Cherry and Walnut, the second with Peruvian Walnut and Ebony, and the third with Peruvian Walnut and Hard Maple. The coasters are 5/16” thick with chamfered edges and mitered corners, but as always, they can be completely customized to your design preference.

Custom coaster sets are a great way to add detail and design to your current furniture, and they also make for wonderful gifts, so if you are interested in ordering a set like these or in other designs that you like, just let us know! Have a great week!
