A better kitchen doesn’t always mean a bigger kitchen.

Many times, it just means smarter storage.

Here are three simple upgrades our designers recommend all the time:

1. Open shelving (when used right)
Open shelving isn’t just about style—it’s about accessibility. It works best for the items you use daily: plates, bowls, glassware, even coffee essentials.

2. Deep drawers for pots, pans, & more
If you’ve ever stacked pots in a lower cabinet, you know the struggle. Deep drawers solve that instantly. They allow you to see everything at once, avoid heavy lifting and awkward reaching, and keep lids, pans, and larger items organized in one place.

3. Inserts that actually keep things in place
This is the detail that takes a kitchen from “organized” to effortless. Think utensil dividers, spice organizers, or drawer inserts for knives, wraps, or small tools.

The best kitchens aren’t just beautiful. They’re designed to work with how you live.✨

More builders and remodelers are specifying Cambria quartz—not just for how it looks at install, but for how it performs long after the job is done.

Because here’s the reality…

Callbacks don’t come from how a countertop looks on day one.
They come from staining, chipping, maintenance issues, and client frustration over time.

Cambria eliminates a lot of that risk.

✅ Nonporous
✅ No sealing
✅ No special maintenance
✅ Extremely durable
✅ Consistent, reliable quality

And when clients want that high-end marble look without the long-term upkeep? Cambria leads the market in delivering that balance.

You can install these countertops with confidence—knowing it’s going to hold up, look great, and keep your client happy for years.

When you’re specifying bathroom cabinetry, the goal isn’t just to fill a space.

It’s to deliver a finished product your client loves every single day.

For over 45 years, Berch built their reputation on true cabinetmaking. Not shortcuts, not mass production. And for builders and remodelers, that shows up where it matters most: in consistency, flexibility, and finish quality.

With Bertch, you’re not boxed into limited options. You’re working with a fully customizable system that lets you dial in exactly what your project needs—whether that’s a clean, modern frameless look or a more traditional, furniture-style vanity.

Their three distinct series (Classic, Linea, and Furniture) give you the ability to match construction and style to the job without forcing compromises.

Add in American manufacturing, sustainable practices, and one of the most versatile bath cabinetry programs out there.

Before you start picking finishes or dreaming up layouts of your dream kitchen… there’s one thing that matters more than anything else:

👉 Your budget.

Your total cost is driven by a few key decisions. Here’s a quick breakdown from our designers:

1. Layout changes = big cost swings
Keeping your existing layout? You’ll save thousands. Moving plumbing, gas, or electrical? That’s where budgets climb fast.

2. Cabinets will take the biggest share
For most kitchens, cabinetry alone makes up 25-35% of the total investment. Stock is budget-friendly, custom is top-tier—but many homeowners land on semi-custom options for the best balance of cost and flexibility.

3. Countertops can elevate (or stretch) your budget
Materials like quartz or natural stone cost more upfront, but they often pay off long-term in durability and resale value.

4. Labor isn’t where you want to cut corners
Quality installation matters. Trying to save here can lead to bigger (and more expensive) issues down the road.

At the end of the day, most kitchen remodels fall somewhere between $25K-$60K depending on size, materials, and scope The key is knowing where to invest—and where to hold back.

Take a closer look at this space and you’ll notice what makes the difference.

The dark, richly finished cabinetry anchors the room with a sense of weight and sophistication, creating contrast against the light countertops, patterned tile, and natural light pouring through the windows.

It’s a perfect example of how distinctive cabinetry can define the entire character of a bathroom.

The cabinetry featured here is Yorktowne, a brand trusted for over a century for its craftsmanship, durability, and design versatility.

One of the easiest ways to make a kitchen feel more custom right now?

Two-tone cabinetry. 😍

We’re seeing more homeowners move away from single-color kitchens and lean into contrast instead.

The most common approach is lighter upper cabinets paired with darker base cabinets or a contrasting island.

From a design standpoint, it does a few things really well. It adds visual depth, helps break up large runs of cabinetry, and allows the island to become a true focal point in the space.

There’s a moment when someone walks into a kitchen and their hand instinctively reaches for the countertop.

Not to use it. Just to feel it.

Quartz has that effect. ✨

The surface catches light in a way that feels almost luminous—subtle veining, layered tones, a depth that makes the whole room feel more considered.

And then there’s the way it lives with you. Morning coffee spills, busy weeknight dinners, weekend baking projects. Quartz handles it all without the worry that often comes with natural stone.

That balance—beauty that feels effortless, durability that feels reassuring—is why so many kitchens today are built around quartz.

Simple layout, smart details, and plenty of room to work.

The prep sink in the island keeps everything functional, while the mix of light cabinets and darker accents adds just enough contrast to keep the space feeling relaxed and welcoming.
