Team Bhalla speaking on May 1, 2024 in approval of the proposed loading zone camera payment program. No mention of bike lanes and/or enforcement.

This is the entire presentation and discussion on May 1, 2024 discussing the Camera program and loading zones by then Hoboken Parking Director, Ryan Sharp. He speaks for more than 5 minutes and never mentions the word bike, bike lanes, double-parked cars in bike lanes, bike safety, ticket enforcement, CLEAR, using the cameras to enforce, Washington Street, etc. Team Bhalla used this ordinance that was passed and discussed in this video and the following sentence stuck in the 6 page ordinance to give themselves the authority; and automate enforcement of regulations that contribute to dangerous conditions and congestion such as blocked bicycle lanes and bus stops along Washington Street from Observer Highway to Eighth Street; and,

How do you prevent cars from double-parking in bike lanes? How do you solve for the loading and unloading of delivery trucks to businesses? How do you create a smooth process for residents and visitors to run in and run out to local stores? These solutions solve for it all without back-door taxing the residents and without destroying the local economy and business community.

Hoboken Business Owners pack City Hall to Stress the need to end Emily Jabbour and ‘s Camera ticketing pet project which is a disaster. Side note: .michaelrussonj all tried to end it last night but they lost to Team Bhalla who literally looked in the eyes of those who are about to lose their business and said, we don’t care!

The station located at the northwest corner of 9th and Clinton has been moved to the corner of 11th and Adams. This re-positioning frees up 5 much needed on-street parking spots. Thank you for working with us to get this done. If we could only have do the same in her ward on 14th.

Councilwoman Fisher needs to wake up! This is her speaking about the parking problem at last week’s City Council meeting. Let me remind all of you , she was the Chair of the parking sub-committee back in 2020 when she raised all parking related expenses in Hoboken!!! She put the priority of raising parking revenue over fixing any parking problems. You want to start applying realistic, thought out, modern parking solutions; go and re read all our posts here or call me and lets talk. (Wont cost the City a penny) However, zero elected officials in Hoboken over the last 20 years and currently have no interest in working on the parking problems, they just want to bu****it about it and complain about it as the benefits of those problems fill our city budget holes and make their jobs easier.

What makes it more egregious is that every one of those docking stations on the streets could have been conveniently placed on sidewalks or public spaces nearby.

This is our visitor parking solution to help local restaurants and businesses have their patrons park easily, legally, and quickly. It will drastically help fix the parking problem and was sent to the over 6 months ago. The HBA board president (who has blocked me on all channels) refuses to meet with us even though most of the HBA board members love our plan. A video rant to come later today about this...

Street Parking in the northwest part of is an absolute joke right now. With the construction of the underground aquarium park we have lost hundreds of parking spots and the City has done nothing to help create parking. Our 5th ward councilman is so busy trying ro rewrite ‘s policies on blocking and changing our constitutional rights, he can’t help create a solution. So we thought we would step in: how about we use the empty parking lots and bus depots attached in the pics here and create public/private partnerships to let resident parking permit holders park in them overnight. Boom - 100 parking spots created for residents of the northwest. Have to be out of the lots by 8am.
