I love, love, love Repinned!

You can help support a skilled trade without ever picking up a staple gun.

If you’ve ever learned something here…
If a post helped you understand why quality furniture matters…
If you’ve started looking at old pieces differently…

Please share this page 🤍

Repinned isn’t just about reupholstering furniture.
It’s about education, preservation of craftsmanship, and showing people what goes into truly well-made pieces.

Every share helps more people discover: • how furniture is built
• why it’s worth saving
• and why artisans still matter

Social media is how small artisan shops compete with big-box marketing — and your support genuinely makes a difference.

Thank you for being part of this community.

When more people understand craftsmanship, everyone wins.

Women in skilled trades, particularly in upholstery, contribute exceptional qualities that elevate the industry. Here are some unique touches they bring, along with ways to inspire others to consider this rewarding career path:

Unique Touches Women Bring to Upholstery:

1. Attention to Detail: Women often excel in meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring every stitch and finish is perfect. This attention to detail results in beautifully crafted pieces that stand out.

2. Creative Vision: With a keen eye for design, women in upholstery create innovative and aesthetically pleasing solutions. Their ability to mix patterns, textures, and colors allows for unique and personalized creations.

3. Empathy & Customer Connection: Women prioritize understanding their clients' needs and preferences, leading to tailored designs that reflect individual stories and enhance customer satisfaction.

4. Problem-Solving Skills: Approaching challenges with fresh perspectives, women find creative solutions to complex problems, whether restoring antique pieces or adapting to new materials.

5. Community Building: Women in skilled trades often foster supportive networks, sharing knowledge and encouraging collaboration. This sense of community enriches the industry and inspires others to pursue their passions.

As we celebrate the remarkable contributions of women in upholstery and skilled trades, let’s encourage the females in our lives to explore these vibrant career paths.

By embracing their creativity, honing their skills, and connecting with supportive networks, they can unlock a world of possibilities that not only fulfill their passions but also contribute to a more diverse and innovative industry.

Together, we can inspire the next generation of female artisans to take bold steps toward their dreams, proving that the skilled trades are not just careers—they are empowering journeys filled with creativity, resilience, and community.

Let’s champion their pursuits and celebrate the unique perspectives they bring to the table!

I am very grateful that the vast majority of my business comes as a result of referrals and people finding me on Google. I literally spend almost nothing to promote my business, which is amazing! It leaves more time to focus on my clients!

However, in my excitement when taking on a new project, I often forget to take good "before" pictures. And while I take great "after" pictures to share, I never ask my clients for online reviews of my work! So, here's me asking.

If I've done work for you, and you have a few minutes to spare, I'd really appreciate a Google review to let people know what you think. Share photos too if you'd like, and I'll highlight them on my website.

Thank you!
