ou can be assured that you will get a unique piece of furniture that can be passed down from generation to generation. Many of our pieces are from reclaimed heart pine. There is a deep fascination, respect and love for heart pine, as it is a historical resource that local Charlestonians used to build their factories, stores, and homes for hundreds of years. There is charm from each piece of reclaimed wood that is hand picked from demolished buildings, docks, railroads and our other sources. Each piece encompasses characteristics etched by time itself that simply cannot be reproduced with modern sawmills or aging processes. We are zealous about reclaiming material and turning them into art and keeping them from the ending up in a landfill. At WGW we guarantee to value current resources and give them the craftsmanship they deserve to become beautiful functional home furnishings.

In the maple family, the box elder gets its flaming red color from a chemical reaction to the box elder beetle, from which it gets its name. Very similar to the blue and greens you’ll find in the ambrosia maple.
