Haven’t posted in quite a while. Between work and fall sports I haven’t done much in the shop. Recently, I was asked to build an epoxy end table as a wedding gift. I was asked to include some turkey feathers, duck calls and turkey calls. The base is 1.5” square tube that I welded. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I get a little nervous when making something to this scale, but I think it turned out great!

Sometimes it’s hard to let go of pieces when they are complete. Well, this flag cutting board and set of coasters that I finished for the silent auction, is one of those times. These are going to Nashville to be a part of a silent auction that benefits veterans and current members of our military through . What an absolute honor it was to be asked, and I would be remiss if I left out my good buddy for helping out with all this!
Board was made using walnut, cherry and curly maple and finished with . Coasters are Osage Orange wood and curly maple!

I’ve seen people build barn doors. So when I was contacted about barn door style window shutter, I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. After talking to the customer and getting his full vision for his I was in! I think the shutters turned out pretty dang good! Used Minwax Espresso for stain and satin poly for finish.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. Summer vacations and let’s be honest, it’s quite hot to be working in the garage. Nevertheless, I’ve been working on a draft for a coffee table. First time using Sketchup, and I think this turned out pretty good! Still learning how to use this program.
