I’m pretty proud of this build for my shop. While it is not an item for a client, it is:
1) my first attempt at building a cabinet
2) first attempt building drawers
3) first time installing cabinet doors.

While admittedly it is not as smooth and error free as my client products, it was progress and a learning process in a new area. Also it’s a win for me as it spurred me into making all of my major pieces of equipment mobile by building rolling bases for other items.

Sometimes the build is not perfect, but I know this one will have plenty of involvement in future beautiful products for years to come for my current and future clients. Cabinet was built (and modified) from the plans purchased on 731 Woodworks).

I was honored to build the “His-Her” matching fishing nets for a wedding on Labor Day weekend. I learned a lot about wood bending as well as the spar finish used in the items. Enjoy the photos and I know they’ll enjoy the nets!

What does one do when they sell the first Basket Weave board and have two more interested clients? Naturally build four more! Two were clamped yesterday, two more today, then time to batch them through sanding, handle cutout, branding, and oiling. Make your Wednesday great!

One of my initial clients contacted me a few weeks back asking for a large round charcuterie board with a handle. We formulated the cherry board which had some sapwood showing down the length of the top, while no sapwood shows on the bottom. Once she received it, my client decided she would also like another round charcuterie board that was smaller by two inches in a darker wood with juice grooves. To keep with a theme of some varied colors between her original cutting board purchase, the sapwood feature on the 18” cherry charcuterie board, and this new 16”walnut board, I inserted a strip of cherry down the length. Happy client makes a happy creator. Make your day great and thank you for continuing with me on my venture.
