June 18th is a day that will go down as a sad memory for me. My father passed away. He was an amazing man, Teacher, mentor, carpenter, handyman,brother, father, grandfather, and husband. He had many titles. He thought me everything I know about woodworking. This workbench was passed down from my grandfather to my dad and now me. We had so many projects we were gonna working on and so many more new tools I was going to get for him and I to play with. One thing my dad wanted to mess around with and was consistently pushing me to get was a CNC machine. One day I’ll have the money to buy one and one day I’ll be making amazing things with it. I love you dad and I miss you so much. Rest In Peace William H. Emmons. I do want to give a shout out to .burns.wood a few days before my dad passed he saw the sign you made me and was extremely impressed and said it fits just right in the shop! Thank you so much for it!

Here’s the back story, brief version, back in Christmas my wife got me the Nova Voyager DVR drill press. I didn’t think she would, just because how expensive it is. To my surprise she did! After we bought it from COVID-19 hit and pushed back the ship dates. Fast forward many months I get a call in the morning from the Cincinnati Woodcraft manager who sounds just as excited as me. He told me “your long awaited drill press is here!”. Went and picked it up and realized it’s very heavy. So piece by piece I took it out of the box. I’ll post a build video soon. Sooo excited 😊
