Sorry it's been a few weeks since an update on Momma & Daddy but life has been a little hectic. But here is the best update we can give at this time.
Update on Daddy:
We have recently found out that daddy does have Atrial fibrillation/ Afib. Which is the reasons behind his strokes. Thankful that UK put the link in; it is how they figured it out.
Now, the problem is trying to get daddy situated with the right medication because of his renal failure to. Dr. Price is keeping an eye on daddy's link monitor. However it's still a battle trying to make sure dads B/P doesn't completely bottom out. When at the Cardiac clinic earlier this week it was like 80/40. So continued prayers please for daddy that his Afib can get regulated before we head to the Kidney doctor to see when dialysis will possibly start.
Update on Momma:
Before we made it back to Louisville for momma's surgery follow up; she had to be taken to the hospital for pain, while there we found out she was severely dehydrated. They gave her pain medicine & 2 bags of fluid to get her rehydrated.
When we went to Louisville for surgery follow up. Wow 😳... it was very in depth of all the upcoming process & procedures. Also enough to give anyone a panic anxiety attack. The room quickly filled up with several different types of oncology doctors; from the surgeon oncologist, the radiation oncologist, the chemo therapy oncologist, dietary, nurses, speech therapy, oral surgery oncology & then the trial study team.
Each talked & gave their findings & suggesting per a total team effort into momma's care.
From the pathology report findings, suggestion comes in as; a radical approach to completely killing out the cancer because it showed aggressive in her mandible jaw bone & in one of the 32 lymph nodes. So with that result; Momma will undergo 6 weeks of 5 days a week of radiation. And possibly a clinical trial chemotherapeutic infusions if she is accepted into the study.
By doing both all of the oncology team feel confident that this is the best plan of attack against moms cancer to hope & pray it does not come back.
Because if it comes back; they have told us it will come back with a vengeance & spread.
So with all that was shown to us, Momma agreed to their plan along with Wes & myself. Radiation should probably start the 3rd week of March.
Ultimately we know that God is the great physician! But we know He has placed these doctors where they are for reasons. We will trust their knowledge & pray! God knows this all & the outcome already.
On a good note 😊
Momma passed her swallowing test. Which means she was released to have real food & able to drink. However she still receives stomach pic feedings & snacks at times. We just have to keep keep sugars leveled out & that's not always easy. Had more problems with it dropping & having to push glucose of some sort to her.

Thank you for those who have sent food, it has truly been a blessing to come when we've needed it. Thank you for the sweet flowers sent, momma has enjoyed the sweet smell & how pretty they are. And thank you for all the many cards; they are very uplifting to both Momma & Daddy! I know they both, along with Wes & myself have been very humbled with the prayers & kindness shown to our family.
