Someone cut a 1930’s vanity to make nightstands, but then realized they didn’t really know what to do next. Wanting to make a little bit of their money back, they put them up on FB. Had to grab them as I saw they had so much potential.

✨The damaged sides, missing veneer and tops were addressed.

✨Everything was sanded, primed and then painted in White Clay by Behr. The small strips of the cool striped wood veneer was saved and given a clear coat.

✨The drawers were in excellent condition for its age and no drawer liners were needed.

✨Filled the old hardware holes and drilled new ones for the new gold ring pulls.

Participated in the Ivy Lane Home challenge. The theme was Glamorotti/Neo Deco design.

This 1960 solid maple dresser was in good shape. A few minor repairs were made. Removed the colonial style base and trim. Added a new base trim and legs. Painted it in a deep burgundy. The laminated top was covered with a maple wood veneer stained in a dark walnut.

The drawers were rearranged. Added a Neo Deco inspired wood decoration to the middle of the top drawer. Then installed all new gold pulls.

1960 Bassett Silvermist dresser and nightstand. The dresser had several layers of paint. After stripping them all off, the dresser was sanded, primed and painted. Added bamboo pole wrap to the top drawer and stained.

New hardware that has a little mcm vibe along with new drawer liner and these two are ready for a new home.

Color: Ivory Coast - Lilly Moon Opulent line
Stain: Mudslide - Lilly Moon Smoky Gel Stain.
