Bertagna Special Blend comes from “Cafe do Vale,” a collective of 15 families. They are exceptional people from small coffee farms located in the heart of Sul de Minas, in the area known as Mantiqueira de Minas. During the crop season, all the family joys the harvesting process.
At most farms, husband and wife work together; some others have the whole family on the team, each member taking care of a different area. The cropping season lasts four to six months. The work starts early in the morning and goes on until the sun goes down. Around 3 p.m., they bring down all the beans cropped on the day and begin laying the coffee on the drying beds; the coffee is sun-dried, also known as natural. They cover the coffee at night to avoid the dew and ensure high-quality beans.

Today we honor men like my dad, grandpa, father-in-law, and myhusband. Men who understand that raising a child requires commitment, love and responsibility. To you our love and thanks! We love you and we are glad you exist!
It’s also important to mention that In my country, we have more than 5 million kids without their dad’s name on their birth certificate. In America, this number is lower but not that different. We also have hundreds of thousands of dads who pay child support and think it's more than enough. These guys are not dads, unfortunately. That's why today is also a second Mother’s Day😅

Since I became a stepmom to 3, I’ve been thinking about how hard maternity is and how these women are brave! Day after day, I get more impressed with all the love, support, patience, and consistency maternity requires. And it is easier to me, I got it halfway done, lol!

Habbemus new logo!
Since the beginning of Bertagna Coffee, we have wanted to tell who we are through our logo. Our first logo introduces ourselves, it says from where we came and how we got started: we are the baby company from our Brazilian company, in business for 45 years.
But babies grow up, and it’s time to let you guys know a little bit more about us:
Our name and the color red show the deep connection with our family history; the green is for the green coffee beans we direct trade, the same for the coffee branch: tell we are importers, not roasters, not a shop. Last but not least, the little female symbol is to say we are proudly a women-owned and operated business! 💜👸🏻👸
