We didn’t win The 24 Hours of Lemons today, but we definitely discovered new temperatures for ignition components, which felt very "Lemons." With a fresh race number fashioned throughout our hooptie, we broke in a new engine before the paint on the doors could even dry and it was an absolute weapon! Our greatest achievement for the weekend was earning the 4th fastest lap time overall. We were fast enough to scare people, but fragile enough to stay authentic to Lemons. Despite all of the optimism and Gorilla Tape, this wasn't our weekend. With 20 minutes to go before the checkered flag, the suspension decided to "leave the chat." The top of the strut betrayed us and reminded everyone that "24 hours" is actually the time spent discovering the parts you forgot COULD fail.
Ultimately, we were always one suspicious clunk away from finishing anyway. Race weekends build character. The track is where fast laps fade, broken parts are replaced, memories are made, and family bonds are forever. It was truly a beautiful weekend on the picturesque grounds of Road America. In fact, Mother Nature was kind enough to deliver abundant sunshine on Mother's Day and ideal track conditions all weekend long. The best part of the weekend wasn’t the lap times, it was spending Mother’s Day doing something ridiculous together as a family. We're more than eager to harness this past weekend's fighting spirit to deliver big things at the next circus. Stay tuned for "Placebo Racing does Autobahn Country Club" THIS July! 🏁🤘🔥🎉🫶 Modern Millwork Innovations Road America The 24 Hours of Lemons
