THE FIRE FEATURE THAT DEFINES THE SPACE.

Not every outdoor space needs a traditional built-in fire pit.

The Zen Fire Bowl from Castin Crete Designs brings a different approach: a sculptural concrete centerpiece with a low, sweeping profile and an impressive display of fire.

Handcrafted from glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC), each bowl is built to order with your choice of size, concrete finish, and natural gas or propane.

It's more than selecting a fire bowl. It's choosing a fire feature that complements your landscape and becomes a defining element of your outdoor living space.

Designed and handcrafted by Castin Crete Designs in Hartland, Wisconsin.

DESIGNED AROUND THE ARCHITECTURE. BUILT WITHOUT COMPROMISE.

At Castin Crete, we don't simply choose a fire table and try to make it fit. We start with the architecture itself.

The rooflines, stonework, timber, shapes, proportions, materials, and textures all become part of the creative process.

Through our Architectural Design Program, we combine these elements with artistic creativity to develop one-of-a-kind fire features that feel like a natural extension of the property.

Not simply another addition to an outdoor space, but a commanding centerpiece designed to belong there.

The architecture inspires the design. The craftsmanship makes it possible.

A fire pit shouldn’t look like something that was dropped into the middle of your backyard.

The best outdoor spaces are designed around the fire—where it sits, how people gather around it, the landscaping, the seating, and how it connects to the rest of the patio.

If you’re planning a backyard project, we put together 10 fire pit landscaping ideas worth checking out.

And if a concrete fire table is part of the plan, give us a call and come out to our shop in North Lake/Hartland. You can see our fire tables in person, look at colors and sizes, and get a much better feel for what will work in your space.

How many BTUs does your fire table really need?

It’s easy to focus on the burner’s BTU rating, but that’s only part of the equation. Your gas line size, pressure, distance from the meter, and available gas volume can all affect how your fire table actually performs.

A 300,000 BTU burner won’t deliver a 300,000 BTU flame if the gas supply can’t keep up.

We break down what you should know before choosing your burner and fire table:

**What size fire table actually fits your patio?**

Bigger isn’t always better—and choosing based only on the dimensions of the table can leave an outdoor space feeling crowded or strangely undersized.

Seating, walking space, furniture layout, how many people you typically entertain, and even the shape of the patio all matter.

We put together a simple guide specifically for Lake Country backyards and patios, including some practical sizing guidelines to help you get the proportions right before you buy.

𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗗?

Two concrete fire tables can look nearly identical in a photo—and be built very differently underneath the surface.

The difference is often in what you **can’t see**.

The concrete mix, reinforcement, construction around the burner opening, and curing process can all affect how a fire table performs over time.

And simply seeing the letters “GFRC” doesn’t tell you the whole story.

Is that “concrete” fire table actually concrete?

A lot of fire tables sold online look like concrete—but what they're actually made from can be very different.

If you're comparing a $500–$1,000 fire table online with a handcrafted GFRC fire table, the difference isn't just the price. Materials, construction, durability, and how the table handles outdoor conditions all matter.

We break down what to look for before you buy.
