I haven't run away from home....as you guys know, I've been sick and trying my best to get better. I'm not going anywhere. Thank you all for sticking around and showing your support.

I think I've made up my mind about my home-away-from-home. I'm limited to cream walls, taupe carpet, counter tops and black appliances, which is fine since it's temporary. And, it is soothing I have to say, but WOW, I need something energizing! What works better than red, right? After looking for days at Pinterest, online sites and furniture stores, I order a rustic red couch. Thinking I will use reds, greens, creams, a little blue....stencil a chest, using those colors, and I'll have enough pops of color to keep me happy and enough quiet, healing tones to keep me grounded. Under normal circumstances, I would go thrifting, but I have found some great deals at Urban Outfitters, Ashley Furniture and Etsy. Home Sweet Home!! Thank you all for your suggestions!! I don't crochet or knit. I'm a lefty and I end up undoing what I just did. Anyhoo....I saw this great idea for a p**f pillow, so this is what is did. I cheated. I already had a throw from Marshall's that I loved. I also had leftover memory foam from other projects, that I snipped up into bits. A memory foam neck pillow that was nonsense..(don't ever buy one) and it took all of and hour to make. RECYCLED! I love it.
It's washable. You can use this idea to make bed pillows, pet beds, and p**fs! I did end up making bed pillows and finally have a perfect pillow, like the old shredded foam ones, except these are allergy resistant, washable and I didn't have to make the case. I used an allergy case, a good one. No more neck pain. Finally. It's like a down-filled pillow without the sneezing.

This 500 sq.ft. apartment will be my home away from home for the next year. It's near medical facilities, saving me the drive, but I want to feel like I'm home. What would you do? Please post your ideas. I need to watch my budget, remembering that it's only temporary, but pretty and cozy.

Since I'm into small spaces, creating something out of nothing and spaces that make you feel fabulous, regardless of space, I'm showing bedrooms that are tiny and luscious...They're doable, thrift finds, filled with the things that are loved. The contest that is posted above..... is all you creatives who are afraid to show up. Any creative knows, we were the ones who were 'weird' and didn't fit in high school. We accumulated this idea that there was something wrong with us. This contest is your opportunity to show up, be vulnerable, which takes an enormous amount of courage. Be courageous....Don't be afraid of the critics. The one who is creating and those who encourage you are the ones you should be looking at. The ONLY thing that matters is you having fun.
