CHRISTMAS EGGNOG BREAD

So I guess it was time to get this piece done for my Best friend Lynn Rodgers Caruso. I started to work on this February of 2022 not knowing that within a few weeks I’d find a house and start multiple projects that would take months some till this day still not done. So she gave me a call in August and said she bought a new tv and really wanted it finished. This piece has been in my storage since 2015. I purchased it from a woman in Broomall PA., it originally was a huge Mediterranean China Cabinet. This of course is only the bottom piece. I added 5” deck post k***s as feet to lift it up because Lynn wanted something that had some height. I sanded the top down to the natural wood, stained it with Rustoleum Briarsmoke stain then I washed it with a white paint to give it a weathered look. I painted the body of the piece with Joanna Gaines Chalk Paint color Shiplap then washed it with a dark brown antiqueing stain to give the piece more depth. I used a metallic iron rub on most of the raised design to give the piece more dimension , contrast & character. I also sprayed the hardware with Rustoleum Iron metallic spray paint so that all came together just perfect. Well needless to say Lynn loved the piece and now wants me to paint some other pieces in her house. Please look at the before & after pics. Have to post this fantastic idea sent to me from someone who got one of my handmade shutters. She is so open minded & creative. Jessie Sarah didn’t have the space to hang the shutter vertical so she made a few adjustments and hung it horizontal above a grouping of her kitchen cabinets!!!!! Thank Jessie Sarah for sharing your idea with me & my page, the shutter looks amazing! Please remember to post any of your ideas or pieces that you’ve purchased on my page.
