We will close orders for Christmas at the end of THIS week. If you have reached out to us about a potential order and want to confirm, we need to know by THIS Friday. We need all measurements and design choice by the next Friday at the latest in order to guarantee pre-Christmas pickup.

As the holidays roll around we will get a lot of inquiries about custom items. We often hear, “I can buy it at XYZ for cheaper.” That is most likely very true, but your item won’t be custom. A wise man once said, “Good work ain’t cheap and cheap work ain’t good.” So we thought we would answer the question here:

Why are custom/handmade items so expensive?

Custom gifts are one of a kind made to order just for you. Often times there are hours spent planning and designing before the product is ever created. Each detail is specific to your unique item and there will never be another like it. Hand crafted items take many hours because machinery is replaced by two talented hands working tirelessly to craft your special piece. Custom gifts are a special gift that can’t be found on a shelf anywhere else in the world. It’s money to a small business owner that puts food on his family’s table rather than lining the pocket of a big retailer. Custom will never be cheap, but it will always be worth it.
