Details & Finishes
• I always try to have a wood element, so I chose the drawers and legs so those got stripped down to bare walnut
• painted the body in the color “
• drawers and legs are stained with a Walnut gel stain by Varathane
• Added new MCM inspired drawers pulls to complete the look
• all drawers function great, clean and dovetail joinery.
• Legs can screw off for easier transportation

Highly recommend finding an old hutch and chopping it up to hang in your kitchen! 😍 this is not for sale, sorry she’s MINE!! Don’t get my wrong, I could’ve totally used it as is… but that’s not really my thing lol. I love unique, bright pop of colors! And with all my golden oak and honey oak wood tones going on, I needed a cool toned color that would complement all the different wood tones in the house! The hutch was an inch to wide so I started off by cutting half an inch on each side so it’d fit seamlessly up against my wall. I really wanted open shelves so the glass doors had to go! I added a shallow shelf and three other supports so this thing isn’t going anywhere! I sanded the top down to bare wood 3 different times, because I’m so indecisive on stain when it comes to my own home LOL! And if you’ve ever tried to stain old pine, then you know it didn’t go well 😅
But she’s perfect and I loveeeeee it 🤌🏼🤌🏼 ps hire me to chop up your hutch 👀

• original brass hardware, cleaned and polished ready to last decades to come.
• Drawers are solid with dovetail joinery, free of any stains, drawers slide and function nicely.

• top was sanded down and applied a walnut gel stain to make the wood grain POP
• sealed everything in a semi gloss top coat for extra durability
• added new pulls and k***s that are gold
• the drawers slide well and are the standard metal slide

• painted the body grayed pebble by Dutch boy
• tops were not solid wood so we opted for a faux wood look using paint, sealed w/ semi gloss finish
• k***s are antique brass

• stain color is Special Dark Walnut by Minwax and sealed with a semi gloss finish
