While many of our clients pair darker lowers with lighter uppers, these homeowners decided to go all-in on their favorite color with rich blue cabinetry throughout the entire kitchen—and we love how bold yet elegant it turned out.

The deep blue cabinets are paired with gold hardware and a backsplash featuring subtle gold accents, bringing warmth and sophistication to the design. Even the cabinetry layout was thoughtfully planned, including an angled cabinet at the main walkway to create a smoother transition toward the dining room and stairs.

A workstation sink and glass rinser add some everyday bells and whistles, while light oak-look flooring with natural knots and variation provides the perfect warm contrast against the darker cabinetry.

The original kitchen footprint already worked well for the homeowners, so this design wasn't about changing everything—it was about giving them cabinetry, finishes, and functionality that finally felt like them.

This modern kitchen remodel by the shore starts with a timeless combination of white shaker cabinetry and white quartz countertops with soft gray veining, creating a bright and elegant foundation for the space.

To elevate the design, we intentionally eliminated wall cabinets in the main L-shaped kitchen area, allowing for a full-height backsplash with gold accents that ties beautifully into the dramatic 24x48 marble-style porcelain slab floors, featuring bold gold, black, and gray veining throughout.

A mix of matte black and gold hardware, a black faucet with gold accents, black exhaust hood, and black lighting details create contrast and bring a modern edge to the kitchen. A double-wide side-by-side refrigerator adds everyday practicality, while the exposed ceiling joists were preserved as part of the design to maintain character and coastal charm.

Design details finish the space with a patterned backsplash, navy blue pendant lights in the header, a chimney-style stainless steel hood, and an open décor shelf near the window.
