Too often we forget this potent truth and find ourselves falling into the trap of thinking what is and what isn’t art. Worse yet, we fall into the trap of thinking that art is what artist do and forget that art is, and should be, at the core of how we all do l

ife. I started to build furniture at first for myself, my wife, and our home, as a means of finding my way. After building original furniture for family and friends, I soon discovered from them that furniture and the objects that we surrounds ourselves with can encourage us to live in the way that is art. An object that does not lead us to our way of art is merely a pretty picture, an unpractical novelty or just a utilitarian object. It is my hope that by building furniture that is functional, creative, and artistic it will inspire and lead you to live in your own way that is art.

Hall Table. White oak sliver with red oak legs. 14"x29". 34 inches tall. This is a 1 of 1.

So when you get a piece of a tree that looks like this you have to do something cool with it. The top on this table has been with me well over a year until I decided what I wanted to do with it. I hope you like it. Spalted maple top with oak and pine base. The underside of the top features the back side of the tree.
