Every piece has a past, and this cedar chest was ready for a brand-new chapter. ✨

Layer by layer, it was transformed with bold turquoise, rich texture, delicate florals, metallic details, and plenty of personality. The gorgeous original cedar interior was simply too beautiful to cover.

The result is functional furniture turned into one-of-a-kind art. 💙

It gets a new story.

This old piece is being completely reimagined with a fresh look and an entirely new purpose. There’s still more to come before the final reveal, but it’s already looking pretty different from where it started.

Some of the most important details are the ones you’ll never notice.

Before the cushion is added, this vintage table gets a wallpaper lining to help protect the wood and give the inside a finished look. Even though it will be hidden, it’s treated with the same care as every visible detail.

Before the first coat of paint ever goes on, every piece has to earn it.

This little thrifted table is on its way to becoming a custom cat bed, but first it needed the right preparation to create a finish that will last.

We love sharing the craftsmanship behind each project because every thoughtful step helps create something beautiful for the pet who will eventually call it their own.

There is something special about the stage where an old piece isn’t quite what it was anymore… but it isn’t what it’s becoming yet, either.

The prep is underway, the old finish is disappearing, and all those little decisions are starting to come together.

Eventually, this forgotten table will have a completely different purpose, and a very special four-legged someone will get to call it theirs.
