Varsity wound up losing last night against the 1 seed, Caldwell, 6-2. The boys played them tough with the score being only 3-1 going into the 5th inning!
To that end, the 2026 season has come to a close! It was a banner year with Coach Poyer getting his 300th win and also becoming the winningest baseball coach in the history of Hackettstown! Witnessing Wolderich and Benbow achieve the 100 strikeout milestone and Rosado coming extremely close! Finishing with 18 victories and making it to Round 2 in the playoffs is something to be very proud of-surpassing the 15 win season and the Round 1 exit last year! AND being the most successful HHS 2026 Spring Season team! 😎
To the 2026 class-Congratulations on your upcoming HS graduation! It’s been a lot fun watching you guys play ball over the years and grow into the young men you are today! Best of luck in all of your future endeavors! Continue to make Hackettstown proud in your next chapter! ♥️
Next year should be another fun year for this team as we only lose 5 seniors to graduation and will have 11 Varsity players return with some very solid JV prospects eager to make some noise! Work hard in the offseason fellas and get bigger faster stronger under Coach Carida’s tutelage in the HHS weight room! 💪🏼
