I am in love with this set! lol. It was your typical 70’s style dresser and lingerie chest, brown and boring. But now they are gorgeous if I do say so myself. lol. You know I love black but was afraid since there were two pieces they would just look like two black blobs so I went in with just a touch of distressing, just on the raised edges and wow, it connected to the new stained base like I hoped it would. I did not put the chest on a new base because if I did you wouldn’t be able to see inside the top drawer as those types of chests are already pretty tall. Let me know what y’all think.

Hello again, just finished up this set today and I gotta say I am pleased with how they all turned out. I had to change my plan right out of the gate and decided to tan wash the tops and paint the bodies. I have had these for a while and as I have said before sometimes I just have to stare at the pieces for a while to figure out what direction I want to go. Settled on one and then bam, changed my mind. lol. I picked these up from the Christian Mission here in town and the guy donating them still had them in his truck so I talked him into just bringing them to my house. lol. I paid the CM for them of course and away we went. I gotta tell ya too that the three hours I spent scrubbing on that hardware payed off, they shined right up. These are well made and super heavy so they should last another 40 yrs.

What can I say about these little sweeties. I brought home a desk and decided to turn her into two nightstands. She was in worse shape than I originally thought and needed a lot of work but turned out pretty cute. I always try to elevate my creations in some way and these legs did the trick. Hello again friends. I’m sorry it’s been so long, my life has been a little out of control recently. lol. We have been chasing grandkids and their fishing tournaments, caring for my declining Daddy who recently passed away, updating our duplex, oh and moving my booth space to a new location. So ya it has been a little hectic. Anyway, this little charmer came to see me and boy did she need some TLC. I think she is so pretty now showing off her farmhouse charm. Let me know what you think.

It was that time again, time to get my crafty creative bone out and make some signs for my space. My shelves were looking a little sparse. lol. It takes some time for me to complete this kind of product so I have to be in the mood, mostly because I use reclaimed lumber for my framing so there is a lot of ripping down the boards to get the size I want. lol. But I’m glad so say I am 32 signs up and ready to stock my shelves.

What can I say about these two pieces. When I brought them home I wasn’t sure at all what I wanted to do with them so I stared at them for about a month. lol. I don’t often struggle with color choices but I did with these. I asked my daughter at one point and she said, “boy, Mom, I don’t what to tell you. They are just so, plain”. lol. I agreed they had no personality for sure. So I spent 5 hours one day gluing all those little rings onto the front of the drawers, trying to give it something, and I love it! That’s when I knew what colors it needed to be. Let me know what you think.
