This series is all about making it simple and do-able (and a bit fun!) to get a survival kit (aka 72 hr kit, bug out bag etc) put together for you and your family: something that will help you care for yourself without the aid of others for at least 3 days!

This system saves LOTS of money! No more bags of clothes found in a trash bag in the attic that your child has just outgrown!

Before we had attic space, I used the big ziploc storage bags. I used the shelf above the boys' closet and under their crib/bed to store the bags.

Since January is 'Get Organized Month' (GO Month), I thought I would start posting organizing tips of my own and from other really great organizers/ladies/Moms who have some awesome ideas about how to get your home and life a little more simplified. Notice I didn't say "about how to get your home and life TOTALLY ORGANIZED". I don't think anyone is ever totally organized, and I think too many of us (I include myself) are always dreaming of 'total organization', but never can reach it, and then feel defeated. HOWEVER, what I LOVE to do, and CAN do is help you decide what is really important in your surroundings and what to do with what's not. I can create systems that work for you and your family to streamline your daily routines to make that part of your life a little simpler and enjoyable.
