Just a friendly reminder to let you all know that I still have LOTS of 3" koi for sale. I'll be moving them to their winter digs in the in ground stock tank in the next couple of weeks, so if you're interested, let me know!

Hey gang! I think I’m gonna sell my remaining fish for half price starting this weekend. I don’t have many left, maybe 2 dozen or so, but if you want some nice $40.00 fish for twenty bucks, give me a shout. Oh, and Ron, I did find those water lilies you wanted! 😉

Before and after pictures of the waterfall rebuild in Streator. When we got the old waterfall apart I was disappointed to learn that the pond liner only came up over the edge about 6” to 8”, so that’s why there’s waterfall liner showing at the bottom. One more day to finish the raised beds around the sides and back.

We started a waterfall rebuild today. For some strange reason Tyshawn did not want to get out of the truck! 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Don’t tell me about all of the “benefits” of having rock in your pond. People who tell you that are trying to sell more rocks! Do you see where the pump is in the first picture? So far that’s the bottom of the pond, and there’s a good 2’ of muck and debris and tangled roots on top of it. This has to be dug out by hand to prevent putting a hole in the liner, and while I do appreciate the work, we’ve been at it for 3 days and only gotten this far. The guy that owns this 14 year old pond dutifully cut back the gold rush reed every year, but under the surface, the plants were all sending out tubers and sprouts. You can’t keep a rock bottom pond clean! Stop installing them that way!!

Soooooo, I’m working on cleaning out this pond that’s completely overgrown with plants. The tall stuff is gold rush reed, and I’ve never seen it this tall before, but it has PLENTY of muck to grow in. There are 4 different colors of water lilies too, so I’ll be giving those away as I dig them out of the rock and filth by hand. Stay tuned!

Hello all! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything new, but I have some exciting news i just couldn’t WAIT to share! I *may* have an opportunity to get about 50 - 6” Hi-fin banded sharks at wholesale, and I’d be willing to pass the savings on to you!! Normally, when I AM able to get these, the supply is very limited, and the fish are pretty pricey. A 3” fish will typically sell for $30.00, and a 6” will sell for $60.00, but if I can put this together, I will only charge you $25.00 for a 6” shark! The only catch is that you need to commit to your purchase here to get that price. You can get as many as you want to at that price, but if you don’t commit to buy HERE, the price goes up so I can actually make some money on them! I already have 3 in my pond. They are docile, winter hardy and can grow up to 24” long. They eat algae mainly (although they will sometimes eat fish food) and they’re SO COOL! I don’t know yet when I’ll be getting them because I’m still working on that, but if you’ve ever wanted a Hi-fun banded shark, don’t let this opportunity pass you by!

If I haven’t gotten to your pond yet, it probably won’t be next week. Just sayin ‘.
