All of us at Garrett Furniture would like to take a moment to celebrate a man that has been part of our family longer than any other employee. His name is Marty Ray, or as I like to call him; Ma/rty – Half Man, Half Party. Marty joined us in March of 2010. Little did we know, he would be stubborn enough to put up with us for six-teen years! Marty has been there for all of us through thick and thin. Through all the staff turnovers and store changes. You’ll never find a more dedicated father or loyal friend, and we are truly blessed to be able to call him part of our family!
Marty is also smarter than any of us, since he is the only one who has learned to never tell Brandy no. Whatever decorating challenge or Christmas miracle she comes up with, he just says “I’ll figure it out.” And anyone who knows Marty, knows our resident Grinch’s distain for our three months of Christmas. The non-stop Christmas songs, the millions of little bulbs that have to be fixed and the glitter that gets everywhere! Brandy’s Head Elf takes it all in stride, even when people ask him after work why his beard is sparkly.
For being such an amazing person, the entire Garrett Furniture family would like to send a heart-felt thank you out to Marty; we love you!!!
