TOP 10 in SC --------The SC Secretary of State, Mark Hammond named the Greenwood Soup Kitchen the recipient of a 2021 Angel Award, as one of the top 10 outstanding SC charities who "exemplify charitable giving in South Carolina."

HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN? ---------- Through the generous support of our Caring Community. The annual fundraising event is Empty Bowls of Greenwood is Oct 19 & 20, 2022. Ticket sales begin on Sept 6. Bowls, soups, desserts -- all donated. Planning, publicity, organizing from set-up to clean-up -- Amazing Volunteers

Potter Beverly Burton created the sunflower bowl and plans to donate similar bowls in 2022. Greenwood Woodworkers Guild donates well-crafted wood bowls each year. Their variety and beauty is amazing!
