Rebuilding some shocks for the 1967 Aermacchi M65. I tried Zinc plating the old chrome covers after blasting and polishing them. My wood lathe has been very useful with the polishing of parts. Also blasted and wire wheeled the hardware before plating. Just waiting for the o-rings so I can complete this. Here's some before and after pics of the shocks and some wheel hubs I've done recently.

I made a couple of PVC window boxes for a customer today. These should last a lot longer than the old wooden ones.

1967 Aermacchi Harley Davidson M65. I've been restoring this rare moped for about a year now. Repaired the front pipe today. Removed dents and tig brazed the imperfections. Engine was rebuilt by Sonny's in Lowell, Ma. He did a great job on it. Pics of parts in primer are from last month.

Finished two live edge red oak bowls today that I had roughed turned last month. These were made out of scraps from milling logs over the summer.

Check out this 5 minute video showing the log tenon jigs I made this weekend. It shows me cutting three different types of tenons with them. They where made from left over wood and some tubing I had. I only bought two 2x4's at $9.03 each 😳. These will save me a lot of time compared to turning them on the lathe.

Your volume may need to be turned down because of the loud table saw.

Finished a small live edge red oak bowl today and made some frames for the abstract epoxy wall art I made over the summer. I really like how the oak has some spalting in the sap wood from sitting for a year. Adds some great character to the bowl. Can't wait to finish the two other ones.
All these pieces are going to The Barn Collection Gallery in Bethel.

These are some pictures of milling some very large red oak logs into slabs this past August. Largest log being almost 40" diameter. That log was cut with my alaskan mill which can cut 72" wide. I got these logs from someone who was clearing there lot for a house and didn't want them turned into firewood.
They'll be brought back to life as a nice piece of furniture.

These where some Christmas gifts I made this past year. I haven't used my lathe in a while and forgot how much I enjoyed watching the wood chips fly.
