Hello everyone. I thought it was time to introduce myself and my company. My name is Jason Edwards. I started E's Wooden Wonders back in 2009 out of my parents garage making toyboxes inspired by different toys.
My first custom toybox was a toybox that was loosely shaped on the old Essex class carriers of World War 2 to be a toybox for my son's growing GI Joe Collection. The lid had a control tower, the body was painted like a carrier on the ocean, and could be used as such for the imaginative crowd.
My grandfather helped me build my first display case for my son's Thomas the Tank Engine collection, where each engine and detachable train cars had their own spots inside the acrylic covered front.
I learned almost everything there is to know about stains, and I can make my own stains to match almost any color imaginable. So, if you have a restoration project, we can help you do it.
I guess everyone wants to know what we are going to be offering. With that, we will be offering advice and helping hands to restore older pieces, help customers reimagine existing pieces, help customers build something of their own for their own place.
We know that times are hard, and finding furniture that we need at prices we can afford after the costs of moving, first/last/security deposits or closing costs, or the dreaded personal life changes can be difficult. That said, we are willing to work with customers to provide them quality furniture at a much more realistic price.
I'd like to think of our shop as the "Habitat for Humanity of Woodshops." We can and will be making items for sale to help keep the building open and the lights and tools operating, but we're also going to be there to help people learn a new skill and hopefully develop a new hobby.
So, let's turn those "I've never done this before's" into "Let's see what we can come up with together.
