What I can teach people, as of 25 February 2026:
-How to identify the material you are working with and why that's important.
-How to strip paint/stain from existing materials.
-How to safely use a table saw, drill press, router table w/router, disc sander, belt sander, biscuit cutter (not for the kitchen), band saw, electric planer, jointer, hand routers, palm sanders (fits in the palm of your hand, not literally sanding the palm of your hand), and more.
-the differences in sanding paper strengths and their importance in the steps for material preparation.
-how to resurface/refinish a bathtub.
-how to create a dry erase surface.
-how to etch with an etching tool with acrylic materials
-how to safely torch wood to give it a lightly burnt look.

What I'm hoping to learn to do so that I can also teach:
-glass etching with chemicals
-how to work with resins
-how to create 3D models with software to use with 3D printers
-glass cutting for creating all sizes and shapes of mirrors
-hand carving with traditional tools and dremels (I have both, just never really got into it)
-using a lathe (I need to get a bigger one than what I have currently).
Edit: I forgot to add under what I can teach the methods of safely torching wood to give it a burnt look that doesn't overpower the look.

Hello everyone. I thought it was time to introduce myself and my company. My name is Jason Edwards. I started E's Wooden Wonders back in 2009 out of my parents garage making toyboxes inspired by different toys.
My first custom toybox was a toybox that was loosely shaped on the old Essex class carriers of World War 2 to be a toybox for my son's growing GI Joe Collection. The lid had a control tower, the body was painted like a carrier on the ocean, and could be used as such for the imaginative crowd.
My grandfather helped me build my first display case for my son's Thomas the Tank Engine collection, where each engine and detachable train cars had their own spots inside the acrylic covered front.

I learned almost everything there is to know about stains, and I can make my own stains to match almost any color imaginable. So, if you have a restoration project, we can help you do it.

I guess everyone wants to know what we are going to be offering. With that, we will be offering advice and helping hands to restore older pieces, help customers reimagine existing pieces, help customers build something of their own for their own place.

We know that times are hard, and finding furniture that we need at prices we can afford after the costs of moving, first/last/security deposits or closing costs, or the dreaded personal life changes can be difficult. That said, we are willing to work with customers to provide them quality furniture at a much more realistic price.

I'd like to think of our shop as the "Habitat for Humanity of Woodshops." We can and will be making items for sale to help keep the building open and the lights and tools operating, but we're also going to be there to help people learn a new skill and hopefully develop a new hobby.

So, let's turn those "I've never done this before's" into "Let's see what we can come up with together.

Nice weather is finally here and I have been incredibly busy. Built a base in the basement of the house for my son's toy collection, several panels of privacy fence, a front porch swing frame, and a few other odds and ends.
What is next to come out of the shop, not sure, but it's going to be fun.

So ready for warmer weather. Going to be a crap shoot when that will actually get here and when I'll have funds for materials. But that's what life is about.

I do take requests and orders if anyone is interested in placing one. Want something to fill up a space? Send dimensions and an idea of what you have in mind and I'll see what we can come up with and get built for you....
