Byrne's Greene Farm

Byrne's Greene Farm Building a community around regenerative farming in Greene County, PA

Keep it Greene! Byrne's Greene Farm sits on 126 acres of heritage farmland.

Once Monongahela culture land, the vacant land was acquired by the Keener family after the Revolutionary War, and passed down in the Sebastian "Boston" Keener family since the 1790s. The farm was recently known locally for its goat production by Jan Cox, son of Agnes Keener. Committed to responsible stewardship and continuation of Jan's legacy, Nikki Byrne-Hoffman uses regenerative farming with va

rious operational partners to produce diversified agricultural products. The farm now produces timber, fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, seedlings, cottage products, timber, hay, and various animal products. These products will be offered to the general public starting in 2024. Please contact the farm at [email protected] if you are interested in product offerings. The farm is home to the Byrne-Hoffman family, along with their three barn cats, three spoiled indoor city cats, a black Labrador named Tank and a livestock guardian Great Pyr/Anatolian named Odin. The farm is not currently open to the public. All visits must be made by appointment only. Byrne's Greene Farm is a subsidiary of Greene Tomato Witch LLC

**The seed sign up survey is now closed, as we have given away all of the seeds that we have purchased for the year. Thank you to everyone who signed up, we will be in touch to let you know when you can pick up your seeds. Let’s get growing!🌱🤩**

It's time to sign up for FREE SEEDS!🤩🌱 The Grow This Throwdown is back for 2025 with a brand new mission.🚀

Our astronaut is stranded far from home and needs your help. She only has enough supplies to last a few months. Her long-term survival and eventual rescue will depend on her ability to grow her own food. But this challenge is too big for the Grow This team alone.

New for 2025, we’ve set up command centers across the state. During the sign-up process you will be able to select from over 200 locations across all 55 counties. You will visit your selected command center in March and pick up your seeds, growing instructions and other materials.

Please await further instructions from Grow This before picking up your seeds.

As challenges present themselves to our astronaut out there, we’re going need your help brainstorming solutions and working together to solve them. Our command centers will help coordinate the efforts of local gardeners and help your counties rocket to victory in the Grow This Throwdown! The top three counties at the end of the mission will receive thousands of dollars of grant funding to make their communities healthier places to live. 👏

Get ready. This year we’re growing for the good of all. And failure is not an option.
