Customized for 11-year-old Sully. Last summer, his mom asked me to be on the lookout for a dresser for him. In April, I found this bowfront serpentine dresser on FB Marketplace for $20. I purchased this cabinet twenty years ago in Amish Country and recently gave it a fresh update with parquet wood tiles. (My first time tiling furniture).

Originally it was all black with a punched tin front panel, it has been transformed with the wood tiles, warm stained wood top, and a fresh coat of paint.

Finally a match! The nightstand on the left came from Bob’s grandmother’s house, and I’ve had it for about 18 years. Last month, while scrolling Facebook Marketplace, I came across its match—and now I finally have a pair!

My favorite feature is the pull-out tray hidden beneath the top drawer. Both nightstands have one. See photos in the comment section.

This accent table took me days to tape off all the details that I wanted to keep wood. Then I sprayed it with Benjamin Moore's Pre-Mixed Black Advance in Satin. The wood soaked up a mahogany stain with a gloss poly. It's soo pretty & unique 💫. More photos in the comment section.

SOLD: Elegant refinished vintage bow-front mahogany dresser with beautiful serpentine details and French Provincial inspired styling. This piece was completely refinished and transformed while preserving all of its original character and craftsmanship. IT IS VERY SOLID & VERY STURDY ( & very heavy)!

The carved details and wood accents were meticulously taped off before being sprayed with a professional paint sprayer — no brush marks. The original hardware was cleaned and reused, and the rich mahogany wood tones were brought back to life. The painted finish is a sophisticated subtle gray/green tone that pairs beautifully with the warm wood accents.
