The Door County chair has a rugged, north woods appearance, and yet is extremely comfortable for an outdoor wood chair. It is constructed of heavy northern white cedar wood and bronze color coated screws for good looks and durability. The wood is coated with a ultraviolet protection to help maintain the natural wood grain.

TWO more sleeps until our 3rd annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 27 at the Corner of the Past!

We'll have homemade strawberry shortcake and strawberry sundaes topped with fresh Door County strawberries, as well as our signature Sister "Bay-sil" Berry Spritz, strawberry lemonade, and other strawberry treats to take home for later!

We'll also have brats, hot dogs, and mac & cheese - plus lots of vendors, games, kid's activities and entertainment by and !! SWEET!!!

Hope to see you tomorrow. Stop by and test drive a Door County Chair!

Door County Chair will be joining us at the Open Aire Market on Saturday, June 13! Door County Chair chairs and tables are made of Northern White Cedar. This durable, slightly aromatic wood is suited to outdoor weather exposure. It is also a very natural wood in that the color, hardness, and grain vary greatly. There may be knots of different sizes and shapes. These qualities add to their beauty and character - no two are alike!

Come try them out at the Open Aire Market on Saturday, June 13 from 9am to 1pm at the Corner of the Past!

Only a few more weeks until our Open Aire Market at the Corner of the Past opens for the 2026 season! Come join us on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm beginning on June 13th! We have some new things in store for you - including periodic visits from and compost pickup through ! Lots of fun children's activities, artisan demonstrations, music and our amazing vendors! The Door County Bookmobile will be visiting on opening day too! Don't miss it!
