A few months ago I had the opportunity to help build out right outside the Wilmete Metra train station. They wanted a subtle breakfast bar that reminded people of home along with shelving mirrored shelving for when they secure their liquor license. For now they serve an incredible brunch/lunch menu that changes with the seasons. Watching small business owners go through the process of a build out is nothing short of impressive and I’m happy to be a part of this staple’s story.

Just finished an 8’ long live edge White Oak table with matching bench seating. Often clients and their spouses have a different vision for custom pieces. Wrapped up some custom built-in cabinets in Lincoln Park last week! My clients had their kitchen remodeled but had issues with their company and reached out for me to match the style and color with a few adjustments. Communication is vital in this game. We worked together to find a stain blend that fit their vision and had a custom cushion made from the interior fabric collection. A client requested a high top conference table for their new media production company down in Tennessee. The idea was simple. He wanted to keep meetings brief while allowing a few more people to stand around the table than swivel chairs generally allow for. The mixed stain top was inspired by the existing woodwork and floors around the building. The base is a simple tube frame designed to be minimal and practical. Yes, we’ll ship anywhere!

Swipe through to see what we did! ——>. My client purchased a home with a very extravagant and oddly specific theme in the basement. The previous owners had gone with an incredibly intricate (and honestly well executed) plaster design that made their basement look like some sort of themed torture dungeon. For obvious reasons my client wanted it updated with less of a “Tuscan Bond Villain” vibe and more of a “we’re a nice family in the suburbs of Chicago” type feel. All the handrails in the home including custom painted balusters and solid Oak were made in house here at MFS and we look forward to showing off the other parts of this whole home renovation! Tell us how we did!
