Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen! As of 0700 hours this morning, this NWS COOP station (GRANITEVILLE 3.9 ENE) has received NO PRECIPITATION since 10SEP2022! Peak wind gust was 15 knots so far this morning. I would not be surprised to receive less than 1 inch of rain from the passage of Hurricane Ian throughout the CSRA. Weather stations located East of North Augusta may receive between 1 to 2 inches rainfall, that's really needed. As I write this message, light rain has begun to fall in South Aiken. For all of you who have responded in the past few days concerning weather station hosts and becoming an observer, my apology for not responding sooner to some of you. The end of the month can be stressful and I am currently in STORM MODE, as many of you are! Please be patient as I have not forgotten your kind considerations and inquiries. I will reach out to all who have responded. Also, for those observers who are in my CSRA WEATHER network, please PM daily and storm total rainfall accumulations and any high wind gusts data, please. THANK YOU!

Good Morning! Here is an update on WANTED Weather station host and observers: Thank You to the new observers in West Augusta who have graciously accepted weather station installation on their premises. Also want to thank the observer in Trenton, South Carolina as well. Looking forward in networking weather station data and STORM STORIES! I do have some possibilities in other locations within the CSRA. Station siting inspections are currently being scheduled. Reach out by PM if you are interested. Anyone residing in the North Augusta area would be GREAT!
