For many neurodivergent students, especially those on the autism spectrum, these can be signs of hypotonia (low muscle tone) combined with sensory processing differences.

When these students adopt unique sitting or sleeping postures, they are actually adapting—finding the physical comfort and stability their bodies need to support themselves.

💪 Why this matters: Building core strength isn't just about posture. A strong core is the physical foundation for almost everything a child does in the classroom—from sitting upright to mastering fine motor skills like handwriting.
