I created Spooner’s Custom Woodworking to share my experiences and love for making things out of wood. My father was a Handyman and General Contractor when he was alive, and I loved working with him. I would work with him on different jobs when I was little, and always enjoyed it. Whether he was working on a mansion or working on a garage, he always had me helping do something. When he passed I wa
s only 10, but this didn’t stop my love for woodworking. I would use his tools to build things or work on things at home. When in Middle School and Junior High I was in woodshop class and built many projects, working in the shop made me feel closer to my dad. I then began going to my Uncle’s farm during the summers. He also showed me even more things with building and working with wood. This only made me feel closer to my dad again. Woodworking is my stress relief, my councling (although my wife may think I should talk with a professional), and my connection to my dad. Making custom items for people is one of the greatest things that I get to do. I am able to take an idea and bring it to life….. What is better than that? The look on the customers face when you deliver that item that they have wanted is such a special thing to witness. At Spooner’s Custom Woodworking we make all kinds of wonderful wooden items, ranging from small custom signs to custom engraved corn hole boards. Some more examples of custom items we have made are Wooden Wahoo Marble Games, Pub Signs, Wooden Crosses, Large Scrabble Tiles, American Flags, Custom Street Signs, Lake House Signs, Custom Geometric Puzzles and custom Plaques/Trophies but we also do custom laser engravings on insulated cups, slate coaster, metal wallets, wooden coins, and all kinds of other things. We hope you enjoy your piece for years to come. If you can dream it we can make it….
