Our annual Industry Appreciation Golf Scramble was a success! We had a great time bringing together our industry partners for a day of golf, friendly competition, and fellowship at Fox Hollow Golf Club.

What a great day with the Lead Forward Class of 2026–2027!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to give this year's class a behind-the-scenes look at economic development in Barren County!

We kicked off the day with mock site visits, toured Nemak and Span Tech, had a great discussion on workforce development, learned about the importance of wastewater infrastructure at Glasgow Water Company, and wrapped up with a discussion on planning and zoning.

Economic development involves so many moving parts, and we loved getting to show this group how it all works together to support growth in our community!

A huge thank you to Nemak, Span Tech, Glasgow Water Company, and everyone who took time out of their day to share their knowledge and expertise. And thank you to the Lead Forward Class of 2026–2027 for your enthusiasm, great questions, and participation throughout the day!

We hope everyone walked away with a better understanding of what goes into making Barren County a great place to live, work, and do business!

Today, we joined Community Partners for Recovery, TVA, and Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College to celebrate a Workforce Invest grant supporting the CPR Works Initiative.

Through this partnership, participants will have access to education, workforce training, industry-recognized certifications, and supportive services designed to help prepare individuals for meaningful careers in high-demand fields such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and skilled trades.

We are proud to work alongside partners who are strengthening our workforce, creating pathways to opportunity, and helping more people build successful careers right here in our region.
