The 26-27 school year is in full swing and so are we! We’ve already made our first three deliveries for the year, the last one for over 220 kids. You can help send food home with kids in need every weekend by just clicking on the QR code and making a gift 💝. It can be one time, once a week, or once a month! We appreciate all you can do and we would love 💕 to see some Union Grove and Gladewater businesses join in and help support kids in our own communities. Thanks for all you can do.

Yes, school is about to be back in session across East Texas. That means the yellow lights will be flashing as we enter a school zone and school bus red lights will be flashing as they pick up kids. That means we must slow down or stop during our commute to work.

Yes, it's inconvenient. Yes, we don't want to stop. Yes, Texas law says we must slow to the posted speed limit and/or stop for a loading and unloading school bus. If you don't, you will have to pay a very steep fine.

When you mention Back to School, most people think about all of the school supplies, clothes that have been outgrown, and new teachers and friends. For over 10 years now we've turned our attention to what goes in those back packs every weekend. We are the Back Pack Program of Gladewater and we send food home with kids in need every school weekend. Last year we were sending food home with 240 kids a week in the Gladewater and Union Grove ISD's, kids that might not have enough food to eat over the weekend. The cost has grown to almost $40,000 a year to operate now so we are looking for local businesses or individuals, that also care about our community kids and would like to help sponsor kids each week of once a month or even once a year. ‼️School Starts MONDAY, August 3rd‼️

Please notice we attend 5 Mondays this year.

August 3rd, 10th, and 17th - students full day at school.
October 5th - AM half day for students and PM parent/teacher conference.
February 8th - AM half day for students and PM parent/teacher conference.

Friday: December 18th - AM half day for students and PM holiday.

This is to continue some funding we are eligible for at GISD that helps fund student initiatives. Also, it adds bad weather banked days to our calendar so we may not have to makeup school days missed because of ice, snow, or water outages etc.
