The HUGE CHURCH GARAGE SALE at First Methodist Church Gladewater (208 Quitman) is coming up on Friday June 5th from 9AM-4PM and Saturday June 6th from 9AM-3PM. You got to see it to believe it! Best deals around as we help send our Mini Methodists to church camp this summer. We are accepting donations as well, you can drop those off at the Christian Life Center from 9AM-3PM, Monday - Thursday, June 1-4. PLEASE: NO clothing, shoes, or bedding. AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!!! Come hungry because we will also have baked potatoes for sale! Come one come all and bring the neighborhood with you. SEE YOU THERE!!!

Two weeks of food for the back pack program ready to bag, box, and deliver to the schools and look 👀, we were able to get oranges 🍊 to go in the food pouches as well this time. Thanks to our Back Pack angels that bagged up almost 400 food pouches this afternoon! Y’all are the best!!

In a world of fictional super heroes, all of you are the real thing. To everyone who volunteers, who prays for this ministry, who gave monetarily as they could, who shared our posts and help bring about an awareness of hunger in our neighborhoods, to the teachers, counselors, staff, and administrators in our schools who are on the front line, and to the families who struggle to sometimes just provide the basics, thank you for your commitment, and your desire to help others. The race for East Texas Giving Day is over and we met a very lofty goal of $15,000 (which is less than half of our yearly budget of now $40,000 for 240+ kids), but we have to remember that this is a marathon. Our funding strategy is that at the end of the current school year we already have the funds in place for the next school year so that we can then start working for the next year. Please continue to pray for the children and for the ministry as we look at some organizational challenges for the next 10 years. God bless you all and thank you for all you do. What an amazing afternoon with on line donations coming in, picking up donations, and people dropping off donations, we more than met our matching gift and we have surpassed our goal of $15,000!! Don't quit now, let's take care of the needs of even more children in the coming year.
