• Blade Type: Upswept/trailing point skinner
• History: Produced extensively during the DuPont ownership era (1933-1940).
Known for its rugged construction with stacked leather washers and distinct red, black, and aluminum spacers, it remains a favorite for outdoor tasks.

Buckskin Charlie and Chief Joseph in vintage Eastlake frames. Buckskin Charlie was invited by Theodore Roosevelt to participate in his 1905 inauguration. Chief Joseph was the last chief of the Nez Pearce tribe. He went on to work for Pendleton Woolen Mills with many iconic photographs of him associated with the brand. About eight months ago we began the initial discussions about having trophy trout carvings made just for us. Somewhere along the way it was decided that it would be “cool” to mount them on rectangular plaques made from old wood reminiscent of antique English fish carvings. As it so often happens, ideas and the talking about them is easy and free-flowing, sometimes even bordering on exciting. Once the doing starts, the bold idea is confronted directly by the arduous task and suddenly the “doer” is thrust into the reality of it all.

In the end it is all worth it and today was that day…at the shop, on the wall, for sale. Be careful with your ideas!
